We have snow in our forecast after 70 Monday..............

"They" are saying 78 here:

So... do I just spend the day out on the deck with loud tunes and wine, just enjoying the last
hurrah?... or do I use the good weather for doing the last of the pruning and trimming?

I suppose I could do a bit of both, right? But pruning and trimming BEFORE the wine. Yes.

THIS is unforgiving with tender pinkies...

That's awesome, Tibs. I'm so happy. Now for the recovery part...although, I've heard they do VERY well. Please continue to keep us posted. My neighbor went through that with her dog and she did wonderfully, too. Lived to almost16.

if plans have not changed he'll stay a few days at nc state. 'bed rest' for 4 to 6 weeks is not going to be easy though ....
i know dil will make sure he gets whatever exercises are recommended during that time.

    Bummer Tweety!
May you find a nice bird-bath and settle in.

We have water shortages, also...

"There was a desert wind blowing that night. It was one of those hot dry Santa Anas that come down through the mountain passes and curl your hair and make your nerves jump and your skin itch. On nights like that every booze party ends in a fight. Meek little wives feel the edge of the carving knife and study their husbands' necks. Anything can happen. You can even get a full glass of beer at a cocktail lounge."
