apparently very easy 
sat on the kitchen table to wipe glass top, put mouse and other stuff in my lap. water bucket (remember bear's recommendation - water and ammonia for glass cleaning) at my feet, twisted around to see why joan was calling me and voila!
working with corded basic mouse atm - maybe tomorrow morning it'll be all good!
and off to geoff!

back to cleaning - dropped my mouse in the ammonia water bucket ........... sigh
