I have all the utensils ready to make kefir.....my neighbor has some grains that multiply, and as soon as I have some free time, I'm going to get my lessons from her.....

Hello, Gracie!

Homemade kefir is delicious. And sooooooooooo good for you. We all eat it here, including the dog!

Hello, Dale--my car battery died, had to have the car towed because it's a hybrid. My water heater died and my plumber couldn't come right away because a house on Balboa Island had a non-flushing guest toilet and Helen Mirren was a house guest, so they offered to pay him triple rate... Only in California.

And I'm getting new blinds for my 36 windows...
    36?!?

Sorry for your troubles, always seems to all happen at once don't it :(

I'm still a bit leery of the raw-milk thing. But I realize that most of humanity lived off of it forever.
It's just that with all the mass production these days....

Still, I want minimally pasteurized and homogenized milk standards. Or maybe just testing and better chilling standards.

My neighbor has three dogs, and she gives each of them about .25 cup each day......she has a dedicated table with all the glass jars and bottles covered with coffee filters and a rubberband.

Of course there's good bacteria for cheese making.

Without the good bacteria our guts wouldn't work at all. Cheese, kefir, sauerkraut, pickles--all good bacteria. :D

I'd rather eat those foods than pop "probiotic" pills.
