That's one contest I don't mind losing.
The Great Lakes "buffer" the temps a bit here. So the water is still quite warm (48 deg F right now), all that water is a massive "heat sink". Although lake Superior (the top one) does freeze over on occasion, every few decades, depending on how you count it. Only during real cold Winters. Mostly they are at worst 33 degrees. They cause a lot of "lake effect" snow mostly near the West-MI shoreline (East shore of lake) as the air picks up moisture over the lakes and dumps it on shore when it cools down after crossing the warmer water.

Today is the coldest for the rest of the week. It warms up to the 50's (! ) by Thanksgiving day. Rain forecast though for Thur and Fri.

Nothing to do with vaping or smoking Atty, we just like to spread out outside ... house is small for 13 to 17 people"Vapers"...
Bummer, Dale. But...it could change!
We set up a couple of tables outside for over flow and encourage the messy kiddo's to eat out there

I (thought I) said check-in after reservation/casino run!!!
Snowed overnight (about 3" here) and roads look slick. Not a fan of driving in
ANY snow, so I may wait until next Monday. I'm debating with myself (unsure
of which one of me is winning) about going out. Even with snow tires (being
put on this coming Friday), that car is simply a pig in Winter. THE worst I've
ever owned.
