Replace the sensor ;)
We had to do that on the low tire sensor of the Buick we bought recently. (well, the dealer did anyway before we would finalize the purchase :p )

They are $79 each.

ONE is bad.

shop and dealer can only reset the entire system... NOT one sensor at a time.

That's $320 (plus labor) for something that is only an annoyance. If the tires actually
have a low-pressure situation, the indicator light will NOT do the 75-second flash on
car startup. It will light solid, immediately. (And it is not a warranty item.)

I could buy my own reset tool
ATEQ TPMS QUICKSET RESET TOOL
but again, it's only annoying.

My question remains: could there be some weird signal causing this? The sensors act as
both receivers and transmitters. THAT I know.

Each sensor has a battery with a life of about a decade. On most, the battery is not serviceable, and the entire sensor must be changed. The sensor stem is also subject to damage, as is the sensor itself, when the tire hits a curb or the car gets into an accident. And each time a sensor is changed, it generally has to be reprogrammed into the control module so it can be recognized. The wireless system is also prone to problems and challenges, as well as being integrated with other car systems that can fail or become corrupted over time. Added to this mix is the often-proprietary technology used by each manufacturer, making the range of sensors out there a confusing mix for shops and consumers.

No idea ... baby monitors do pick up some weird signals so I suppose it's possible

    High of 57 today. :D :)
Planning on picking up a few limbs in the yard and any other misc stuffis.
GF made plans for me for this evening (more decorations outside her place).

Probably some Christmas shopping with Mom tomorrow...she likes to go out and "touch and feel" stuff, so internet shopping doesn't thrill her much.

Sorry, I can't help you out with this one and I usually do all the work on my car...that I'm able to, with the tools I have.

As far as my snow tires are concerned, I've have two sets of wheels (stock for winter tires and aftermarket performance for the summer tires) so that I don't have to keep going to the shop to get tires swapped out and wheels rebalanced. Over five+ years, not counting the cost of new tires, the extra set of wheels and extra set of sensors have paid for themselves in mounting and balancing savings.

Well, if there is a weird signal, it would be YOU that would find it....:D

Wonder if other people have the same problem... and if they pick up on the pattern.
Once is a fluke... TWICE - to me - was a trend (which is why I mentioned it to the
shop and dealer). I noticed it immediately. And it happened three MORE times in
the same general vicinity. Too frequent to just be coincidence.

    A-HA!!!

    Found the following here:
How to Turn off the TPMS light

    SYSTEM FAULT
After an ignition key ON, if a system fault is detected, a chime will sound, and the TPM indicator (telltale) lamp
will flash for 75 seconds, then remain on solid. A system fault can occur by many scenarios, including the following:

    • Signal interference due to electronic devices or driving next to facilities emitting the same Radio Frequencies as the TPM sensors.
    • Installing some form of aftermarket window tinting that affects radio wave signals.
    • Accumulation of snow or ice around the wheels or wheel housings.
    • Using tire chains on the vehicle.
    • Using wheels not equipped with TPM sensors.
    Next:
Finding the culprit and giving them a hard beeyotch-slap.

    So:
    Never mind.

Hope you find what is setting off your alarms or lights Bear! Don't understand, but as long as it works for you, then all is good!

Back from being out all morning, and dh and I stopped for lunch and wouldn't ya know it, after that heavy lunch, now I can't keep my eyes open, so off to take a nap!

Hubs took the day off from garage and I took the day off firewood. Still tired. We took a big loop of a ride to look at the Christmas decorations around. Down thru NH,up thru Vermont and back into NH. The city of Brattleboro,Vt's Main St. ain't nothing special to look at for 11 months of the year but in December it transforms into beautiful. Every single store up and down Main St is decorated inside and out and lit up.
