He's in there frequently, mostly overnight. But he still disappears for hours on
end during the day. No headway made in getting him to be more social. It
may never happen. It's been over a year at this point.
Well that has to be a good thing, bet he's grateful now that he knows what it's for ;)

bear - any updates on feral mama from across the street?

Frisk-E (aka Callie) was from across the street... and I do not know if she's still
at her now-not-so-new home. I have not seen her since the Jerk-O-Rama moved
    out back in... what?... August.

Feral Mama (from next door) has been spotted a few times. A couple weeks
ago, she and Oreo were eating from the same bowl at the same time, so they
get along. No idea at all what provisions she's receiving... have not seen Crazy
Cat Lady in quite a while (to speak with).

There have been quite a few strange cats passing by recently... a stunning tuxedo,
a dark calico with one ear half-gone (probably frostbite from past years), the big
old limping filthy grey and white tom (who I noticed has one eye closed shut) who's
been seen on and off for years, and a few others. All welcome as long as there are
    no fights... especially with Ty-Grr.

Well, hell, you could've paid for the bigger one just with the money you won't be spending on your health care premiums, Honey Bear!!!

Speaking of which... still no official wallet cards in the mail, but was able to
get at it online today. Gotta love all the zeros!!! :)

What does not show are all the $0s for everything else, including hospital stays
and, best of all, monthly premium!!!

Don't know if this is true (or legend) or how old it may be, but read this on FB:

    -----

I locked my car. As I walked away I heard my car door unlock. I went back and locked my car
again three times. Each time, as soon as I started to walk away, I would hear it unlock again!!
Naturally alarmed, I looked around and there were two guys sitting in a car in the fire lane next
to the store. They were obviously watching me intently, and there was no doubt they were
somehow involved in this very weird situation . I quickly chucked the errand I was on, jumped
in my car and sped away. I went straight to the police station, told them what had happened,
and found out I was part of a new, and very successful, scheme being used to gain entry into
cars. Two weeks later, my friend's son had a similar happening....

While traveling, my friend's son stopped at a roadside rest to use the bathroom. When he came
out to his car less than 4-5 minutes later, someone had gotten into his car and stolen his cell
phone, laptop computer, GPS navigator, briefcase.....you name it. He called the police and
since there were no signs of his car being broken into, the police told him he had been a victim
of the latest robbery tactic -- there is a device that robbers are using now to clone your security
code when you lock your doors on your car using your key-chain locking device..

They sit a distance away and watch for their next victim. They know you are going inside of the
store, restaurant, or bathroom and that they now have a few minutes to steal and run. The police
officer said to manually lock your car door-by hitting the lock button inside the car -- that way if
there is someone sitting in a parking lot watching for their next victim, it will not be you.

When you hit the lock button on your car upon exiting, it does not send the security code, but if
you walk away and use the door lock on your key chain, it sends the code through the airwaves
where it can be instantly stolen.

    -----

Gives me opportunity to mini-rant... I always lock as I exit by using the door switch. I HATE ON
PEOPLE WHO INSIST ON DOING THE REMOTE THING, WHICH IS ACCOMPANIED BY THE HORN
BLAST!!! You walk by a car and then HONK... scares the :censored: out of me. Is it THAT HARD
to just use the door switch?!?! Parking lots these days are nothing more than a symphony of
honking horns because people - APPARENTLY - need the audible feedback that their vehicles are
locked. So, for THOSE people... I *HOPE* your vehicles will be burgled. I really do.

    There.

    Better now. :)

Considering the cited rebuttal is dated 2008...
    "Updated July 28, 2008"

and, even then, it also said:
"...such a criminal event could not happen with most cars..."

... I *might* err on the side of caution 8 years later. I might also err to not be a Richard,
causing unneeded horn honking. It's annoying/frightening and just screams "Look at my
$40,000 SUV, everybody!!!" (Or maybe they're $50,000 now...)

Credit card skimming was also in its infancy at some point.

Criminals become more tech-savvy as time passes.
