If you have the most basic model flip phone (without camera), they will be
forcing you to upgrade. Their "2G" network is being shut down. I received
an eMail a couple days ago.
So... I can upgrade to the flip-with-camera (3G, $0.99) or go "smart"
(guffaw, chortle, snicker... "smart"... right...) with 4G at $49.99.
They're dragging me into this kicking and screaming and I do not like it.

Even my Trac flip phone has "internet" (check for "web" access), but it is totally unusable.
If you have that little white "world" button on your phone, you have internet.
If you are registered with TracFone, you should get a note if you need to upgrade.
I have noticed that it's been taking a LOT longer for it to find a network lately. If they
are phasing out 2G, then that explains it.
