    Hmmm...

I am hoping it did not go under the deck.

Yesterday, hubs woke me up and said "our raccoon" was up on the deck (eating
cat food) but badly injured. I resisted the urge to look... for a while... but did
take a peek. It was on the patio side, off the deck, opposite side of where the
critter access hole is. In its condition, I have doubts whether it climbed back up
the deck steps, over to the other side, and then under the deck. It ruined my
morning. I took a walk around the house and did not see it anywhere. So if it is
still on OUR property, the only place is under the deck.

I'm hoping it went over to the next house. Or even further away. I couldn't stand
to watch it for more than the 10 seconds I did. :(

If you are not smelling anything, either he is not dead or he went elsewhere. I wouldn't have been able to watch, either....:(

    Good morning Gracie :)

Unpleasant question for anybody who might know...

    ...ummm...

...how bad - and for how long - would a dead animal smell if it was decomposing
    under the deck?
What they said ... gosh I hope it's not your raccoon :(

    Good morning,dale,Gracie and Bear:)

    Too long,Bear...........

    G'mornin, snails!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Yanno, when two supervisors both decide to take the same day off and it happens to be today, we already know you're calling in sick tomorrow. I R Smrt...I'm taking tomorrow off.

True story...except for the former, cuz I always wore a full-face helmet except for a couple of months when I first started riding and cicadas weren't "in season"

It just happened yesterday. I did not observe any "gore" (eg: attack by another animal).
The poor thing appeared to only have use of its front legs, dragging its body and hind
legs. Its size would tell me it could not have gone very far, very fast. I did look again
about 15 minutes later... it was gone.

I'll get the big flashlight and take a peek under the deck a bit later. It'll only be a limited
view, so a bit inconclusive. Hope I do not scare the skunk(s) I believe is/are under there.

where is that @Katmar ? ;) apparently not only in nyc and joisey or st louis but also in philly! :D

''I grew up in South Philly, and like many do, you adapt to your environment. I grew up adapting to gravy, NOT spaghetti sauce. Don’t even try this argument in South Philly, you won’t win''

South Philly is where I grew up also, and absolutely don't even try a debate. You just don't....... It's a non-issue.

If it's frozen it might not start soon, but if it's warm enough for flys mother nature will clean it up in a few weeks and make more flys for the next clean up job :)

Making a corned beef brisket, cabbage, taters and carrots for tonight! :)

    So am I :D
