Got my UPS all plugged in.

Let it charge for a while.
Did you install the software? (go out to the website to get the latest if you want)...CD's in the boxes are often out of date.
It should have a USB cable to go from UPS to the computer.

Suggestions:
Let it charge up today.
Tomorrow, simulate a "blip" by unplugging the UPS from the wall socket and plugging it back in again.
