... They'll be doing the sections over my property and the
road, so it will be a noisy day ...

It's all down!!! (???) !!! (Except for the stump.) When in the hell did they do THAT?!?!
They (obviously) came back at some point and did a LOT of work VERY quietly. But
there are TONS of logs for them to haul away now. They cleaned up my side fairly well,
but I'll need to spend time hand-picking twigs and such. Quite alright.

G'mornin, snails!

Ohh dern...I'm the bad neighbor who didn't check the forecast and didn't mow the lawn before the storms. Hopefully, this extended period of growth will help my lawn be greener than everyone else's on my street and cause my neighbors to be jealous.

Mmmmm, justification...:w00t:

Just be sure to set your blade to 3" at some point soon. Longer after-cut grass is much less prone
to burning during periods of big heat and/or drought. If you usually cut short, it may take YOU
time to become accustomed to the longer grass, but it's well worth it. I do the first 4 or 5 cuts
at 2"... then it's 3" from then on out.

Oh... and change-up your mowing pattern often. :)

    And don't forget:

Do any edge trimming BEFORE you mow. :D

Last year, I set my blade higher to allow the non-zoysia grass to take over. I think the blade is up to at least 4-5" and it's helped immensely. My front yard is small and I haven't found an efficient pattern-change yet; I make sure to alternate the direction, at least.

Thanks for the input, Bear!

The VapeMails are "on the way"... not "arriving today". Yes, I want it ALL.
