Are they hard to change out, Gracie?
I wouldn't do it, but my friend is capable of doing it.......I already have one that has been disassembled that another ECF friend sent to me, and told me that if it could be done, then, it's mine.....hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I will be seeing (Dan) this weekend......he is coming to the house.....

 I'm still using my first 20w iSticks from when they first came out ! They are lasting me forever. I use 30w & 40w iSticks also. Constant use everyday and they amaze me they've lasted so long. I use 6 iSticks with different flavors on them all the time. The rest of my pv's are in a box. Have been for a long time now :smokie:
I know......as are mine, except for the two Reos I'm vaping, everything else is resting in their boxes.
The I-Sticks are by far, the most reliable and user friendly and additionally, the most comfortable.....I have a small hand and if I could find another device with removable 18650s that would compare, then I'd be all over it.

watch the blog for updates ;)

It's really difficult to know what ya wanna buy not having a wide scope of knowing what each different mod is like or feels like. And now with people rushing out to buy what they can, the difficult decisions/choices are endless
I've been blessed with having attended 2 vape conventions in Tampa and have been able to see and actually hold many different mods. Confirming for "me" that I like the feel of the smaller mods. For anyone who doesn't know exactly what they'd fall in love with, it's gotta be a daunting task. There's so much out there :smokie:

What mod do you have, Atty?
One that (IMHO) you don't want....I purchased it at a local vape shop and I find it "flaky"...

It's a Smok XPro M50 with the update to go up to 65 watts. But it flakes out sometimes. And you need an Allen wrench to change the battery.

I "deal with it" because it's otherwise sturdy. There's newer models that may be OK. The Allen Wrench thing is a PITB. I think the USB connector is wearing out too.

Which is why I'm considering a mech used WITH fuses. (fuse considered mandatory by me). Even then, there's still a ton of choices. But since I'm a low-wattage vaper, I don't need high-watt fuses, and I think they still sell those vape-safe things. IDK. I need to start researching again.

Simple replaceable fuses solve most of the battery-explodes issues.

If the FDA was worth anything, they'd just required the industry to design fuse-format into mechs rather than trying to ban all devices post-2007 or whatever. Almost all the non-charging fire issues have been with mechs (and users). There was another kid on the news who had a mech explode on him...he's going on and on about how he did his research and stuff....but he didn't (apparently) have the safety procedures down well.

Anyway, I think fuses are fantastic ideas, particularly for us low-watters.

I've been DIY'ing for a long time. It's not that difficult. I use the "ejuice me up" calculator and it tells me exactly what measurements to put in my juice after you type in what you want for nic, flavor, pg, and vg.
There's quite a few juice calculators out there. You'll find one that works for you :D I do know how to rebuild coils etc. but I'm kinda lazy in that area and prefer to use premade coils until I HAVE to make my coils

I do have a mech sitting in a box, but in that box are two safety fuses......if there's a mech, there's a fuse.

And now FUSES!!! Which sounds like a great safety measure, but, still...WOW! So much to learn. I've just been tootling along with my 2200 mah, generic tank, 1.5 coils and happily vaping away. I also have the iStick, too. Everything I buy is disposable. That has to change soon.
