Like I said, I don't use them (yet). But if I ever have to make my own nic-base, it will be an extract I guess.
See Classy's sig as to why. I don't want to give $$$ to BP and BT either, given that they are probably the ones pushing the FDA's buttons. But I have to get the nic somehow, so I guess it will be extracts from tobacco. That's all in the distant future, assuming we can't get decent nic base.

If i remember correctly, the maceration process extracts minimal nicotine (i think you end up with just flavor components). Nicotine extraction is a whole 'nother complex process; one that can be potentially dangerous. Katya should be able to confirm or correct my memory

Think it goes to all the "crazy cat ladies" stories out there. And, yes, this little poem comes to a brick wall ending...
I'm still trying to decide on a fave. There are quite a few new-to-me flavours
on the way, en steepage, or trapped in a cart. I've said I'm really liking the
NETs that have been opened.
Non-tobacco... I like HHV's "Strawberry Lemonade", Mushroom's "Manic Melon"
and AHL's "Cafe au lait".
There are a few other melons awaiting in the cool dark of the basement that
I am looking forward to trying... cantaloupe, honeydew and a watermelon or
