    G'mornin, snails!

St00pit upper respiratory virus/infection thing...after breathing in the stale air from 10 different planes over 10 days, it's a thankful wonder I'm not worse off. Very happy to say that my strained back is doing much better after a weekend of taking it easy (other than mowing the lawn).

Have those to the East of me gotten the rain cell yet? Wasn't too bad here; hopefully it's the same or less if/when it hits ya.
    Good afternoon MadO
Sorry you got that crud too :(

    JoJo

let's hope oscar will cooperate :D
    Aw, you're great Tibs!! :thumb:

Because the phrase is NOT "thunder and lightning".

It's "lightning and thunder". Repeat after me: "lightning and (THEN) thunder".

(And you said "Swine Before Pearls".)

    :D
  By golly I did ... so so terribly sorry Mr. Bear ;)

    Good morning snails :)

    MIGHT be something like this:
If you have something in your cart, it has "reserved" an item for you...at least for a period of time. Looks like that time is about an hour. After the hour, it's "releases" the item back to inventory so someone else can buy it, because you're "camping" on it.

If you have the last one, then it goes from being the last one+reserved, (out of stock for anyone else), and then gets released after timeout, so it's "in stock again", and then you reserve it again, so then it's "out of stock" again, etc.

Vicious cycle with the one remaining item. They need to work the kinks out of that process flow and allow for the last-item-while-camping-exception issue somehow in their server-side app.
But I don't think anybody is actually buying it (other than me, sorta kinda). I'm thinking
they don't get a new one to put in stock every hour from their distributor. Definitely a
bug in the software. This can't be the first time its happened, unless they did some kind
of program upgrade recently... and this bug sneaked in.

Kind of amusing... but I think I'll "do end" to stop the eMail deliveries.

Now you, too, are able to wear Uranus around your neck!!!
...which many people do. You know the kind... with their head up their...

Hmmm... if you gave this as a gift to someone, would you be passively-aggressively
    sending a message to them?

     :D :)

FDA did NOT respond to last request. Committee is getting tougher now. I think this is a very good thing!! :)

Majority Media | Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee | Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee

As chairman of the primary oversight Committee of the United States Senate, I urge the FDA to be transparent and accountable in its regulatory actions. I ask that you please respond to my requests for information so that the Committee and the American public may fully understand the FDA’s rulemaking and its consequences for small businesses and the public’s health. With this in mind, please respond to each of the questions in the letter I sent on May 17, 2016. In addition, because of the significant public interest in this matter, I ask that you please provide all documents and communications referring or relating to the FDA’s regulation of the e-cigarette industry.

Please provide this information and material as soon as possible but no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 20, 2016. If the FDA does not provide an adequate response to these inquiries, the Committee may be forced to resort to other means to compel the production of this information. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hummm, left overs huh Atty ;)
    I'm experimenting with preferments. Poolish.

So yesterday's was eatable, but that's about it. Too dense. Otherwise looked good. Tasted good. I had used 100% bread flour, and depending on where you live and the brand, flour varies in protein content. Our flour up North is stronger (higher protein) than your flour down South.

So this time I did 100% AP flour, as the last time I make French Bread baguettes that way, it was fantastic. But the recipe didn't have a poolish. And preferment = flavor development.

This time it was also dense. So now I suspect the water in the recipe is too much. The dough was a bit sticky. And the long preferment (which is also 50% of the recipe...that's quite a bit) has really well hydrated flour.

So next time, I'm going to make a few more adjustments. Little by little, I'll zone in on it until I get it perfect for my flour, my oven, my water, my technique. Because variables.

(P.S. I warned you not to ask!)
