D00d!!! Sweeet!!!

G'mornin, snails!

When a cat/kitten makes paw movements around their bowl, like they do when clearing the spot to do their business in the litter box, does that mean they don't like the food that's in the bowl?  :D

Good to see you SweetHoneyBear. How is Dad? How are YOU? :)

I suppose Dad is improving. But it's not helping with my nerves, anxiety and
playing "what-if" and "when?" scenarios in my head. It's not fun.

He has an appointment Friday with his heart doctor and a check-up of his
pacemaker. As many times as I ask that he make NO appointments from
December through March, he does it anyway. Last week was his checkup
with MD. I tell him he is NOT ABLE to count on me to transport him during
months of possible bad weather. Sigh. I guess *I* will need to be the one
to schedule his appointments FOR him.

Is it one of them or both?

Cats will do it if the smell is not agreeable to them. They smell first, then
eat if it passes sniff test. Put that flavor on the "do not buy again" list.

Put a cup of black coffee in front of them and they should do the same thing.
Something in coffee that reminds them of litter box contents.

You sound so much like me, projecting down the road. Never gets anywhere but creates lots of anxiety. Try taking a day at a time. It works if you can do it...((((HUGS))))

Thanks for the info., Bear! I was just Zuzu...but both of them don't seem to be eating as much as they used to; I guess they still haven't returned to being on the schedule before I boarded them. The brand of food isn't new (Life's Abundance); they used to gobble it down. But I couldn't provide the same brand for their stay at the cat clinic, so I guess they like the new food (Royal Canin) more.

ETA: Positive vibes being sent your Dad's way!

    Thank you (all!) re: Dad.

Maybe Zuzu is just being finicky. Ty-Grr will occasionally do the scratch thing to stuff he's
been given in the past. (It's always wet food.) So, I just let it go. He has dry food if he's
hungry. And any leftover wet food goes out to Oreo. I could give it to T'mato, but he
really does not need any MORE food. No cat vittles are ever thrown out around here.

    ...and NOBODY is starving.
