good morning

hope your granddaughter feels better fast, Dale

I'm not sure what to think about this. On one hand it's interesting to see vapers humanized, but....

@ ces - not sure of that article's purpose :?:

yeah...i'm not either. i want it to be a good thing, but it felt subtly insulting.

(maybe i'm just elitist)

I enjoyed the article. It put a lot of small-town, largely small-business issues in perspective, particularly when you consider how anything but the big-businesses are struggling, and how they are (theoretically) dependent on attracting big-businesses.

I'm not sure why you would feel insulted, CES. Maybe you think the article casts vapers in an "economically-disadvantaged" light? But that's probably one of the driving factors, because smokers are often complacent, but lower costs of e-cigs are attractive when you're broke. Several examples were given in the story of people quitting smoking when broke.

The thing about the article is that it didn't stress the FDA stuff enough; didn't carry the anticipated impact through very well. It was also a political/economic angst piece more than a vaping piece. Very counter-culture-is-the-only-solution mindset.

So IDK what I think of it either, except that it was very interesting and gives people a perspective view that is sorely needed if you haven't lived it. I'm sure similar pieces exist from the inner-city perspective. I think it's less geographical (rural vs city) these days and more about small businesses having so much trouble competing with the mega-whatevers.

What's hard to explain to people is the catch-22 about having a $15.00 minimum wage and the resulting forced-closing of more small businesses making the "big-guys-takeover" problem worse.

Just unboxed, assembled, primed and filled a silver Cuboid Mini. 1.5ohm, 14w,
Peanutbutter Fudge Brownie.

For being brand-new, it has quite a few light scratches on it - out of the box.
It would have been a good idea to wrap it with that stick-on plastic-y film-y
stuff and let "us" decide to leave it on or take it off.

My 2005 iPod STILL has that stuff on the front, and I keep it in a full case
(enclosed on all sides).

And the PC keyboard (2012?...11?) is still shrouded in the stuff.

But yeah... I would like to start off with a scratch-free device.
