That would depend on what your running them in,most modern mods will shut off at a safe level for the battery

i think kat remembers that you are supposed to 'train' a battery and if you are constantly just topping off you decrease the life span. but those were different types of batteries
with what we are using now discharging completely or below a certain level (2.7v?) will harm the battery. as obg said all of the newer mods should give a 'low battery' warning and/or shut off automatically!

No. No "memory" in these.
But if you store them long-term, store them about 1/2 discharged, not at full charge if you can avoid it.
