Despite all the in-house and in-yard prep, I think I'll be suggesting Dad comes
over for a cookOUT on a better (weatherwise) Sunday.

Emphasis on OUT to ward off suggestions of eating IN. It's a cookOUT, not
a cookIN.

I think the whole idea is to be able to sit outside on their beautiful deck, grill AND eat out there, all the while enjoying the nature around them. At least, THAT is what I am getting out of it...

Off to do more prep. The indoors needs a good cleaning anyway. And outdoor work is rarely
a wasted task.

TGIF!!!

I know we complain about it being hot, but I really should be ashamed when I do. I remember landing at the airport in one of the provinces of the PHL. It was beyond stiffling. Later, my cousin informed me that it was one of the hottest spot in the country. IIRC, it was 42°C at the time...and that wasn't the heat index!

Converting from Celsius to Fahrenheit really drives it home...just thinking about it has started to make me sweat.

Hmmm, now that I'm sweating over it ( ), I think I may have mentioned it before.

YOU (or even Hus) can grill the food OUTSIDE while everyone else is inside. Cuz flexibility.
