So, all throughout my years of school that involved typing, I was taught to put 2 spaces after each sentence ending period. Apparently, that's wrong; two spaces applied only to the typewriter?

Yup. Old school, typewriter only. Not done anymore. Sorry.

Hope your eyes heal soon, Kat. We used to go through this whole baby shampoo/hot compresses ordeal every time my little DD had a stye--and that was at least 4 or 5 times a year. And than the stye would pop... don't ask. Poor kid. But she grew out of it, luckily.
