Well, the appointment went well. He sat and talked to us for almost an hour. He was very reassuring. He truly does NOT know what it is, but it didn't light up very much at all on the Pet scan. Slow growing cancers will do that, along with MANY different benign things. He agrees the next step should be biopsy, and go from there. He said whatever it is, we will fix it and try not to worry. I left there feeling much better. Nervous about biopsy, but that's okay. He was very optimistic about whatever it might be. Love that man. Marsha really liked him, too, and he answered all her questions. I am fortunate to have such good doctors in my area. UPMC is one of the finest hospitals in the country. SO, hopefully, my anxiety will settle down and I can get on with the business of LIVING! I still ask for your continued good wishes, thoughts, prayers and love, as it has gotten me THIS far and I thank you all!

glad you got encouragement from your doctor, kat! one step at the time

What is nice is that all 3 doctors (pcp, pulmonology, and thoracic surgeon) all say the same thing, so it is good encouragement. Bring on the biopsy and let's get 'er done! Thanks, Tibs.
