So, the phone rang and went straight to voice mail this afternoon, even though I was right here. Turns out it was the hospital with pre op instructions, etc. Gave me a number to call back with a good time for them to reach me. Told them I would be here all evening and all morning tomorrow. Forgot I'm supposed to see my attorney at 10, so will have to try to reschedule with him, unless they call early. I was so bummed. Of all times for the phone to act up!!!

I guess the MRI equipment is massively expensive and the mobile unit solves that problem All the hospitals share the cost.

Yeah, the higher resolution MRI's are expensive particularly in the USA. The low res ones are cheap overseas. In Japan, they tend to get the lower-res MRI's every year head to toe just "for fun". !!!! Turns out the sold the lower-res ones to Japan at a good deal, but in the USA they stick it to us. It's all price fixing, and the fact that the USA groups don't like the lower res ones (probably due to liability or something, but hi-res is more valuable for certain things).
