The glasses arrived!!!!!!!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

The envelope is a bit mangled in the upper right corner with a corner flap ripped open, and it's a bit crinkled, with scuff marks on the back...looks like they had some problems along the route running it through a machine...or they ran it over a few times with something! ;)

Now, I can't find a way to "close" the lost-mail request(s). :/

OK, so now to see if the glasses survived being mangled.....

Well, they look a bit "compressed" flat, as the earpiece outline is visible on the silver "lenses"...but mostly look good!

Yay!!!

Now, Bear just has to be wrong about the weather...

I want *MY* car back!!! :(

Push-button start!!! What's wrong with a KEY??? Too much EFFORT to TURN a key???
Turn-knob transmission. Why??? Console shift too complicated?
Back-up camera. a-duh!!! Don't human heads turn anymore???
Digital speedometer AND analog dial speed. WHY??? WHY?!?!?! TWO methods right NEXT to each other?

And too many other unnecessary "features" to just break or die.
Not to mention driving the purchase price sky high.

You know... instead of going for "simpler", they are going way way
way way way off into the opposite direction. It is STUPID.

Grrr.

Fly by in time to read Bear's post and totally agree with his assessment, and is the reason why I have kept my Toyota Camry XLE and hubby's van from the Stone Age. They both are serving us well with comfortable seating, which I find is missing in the newer cars.

Good weekend afternoon, snails...

Sorry I haven't checked in. It's been an interesting 48 hours of a "first experience" for me.

:( Hugs, hope Lev-Lev gets to come home soon!

you'd think mad would check in and let us know :( can't help but worry

Got the call yesterday around noon; one of the vets was able to express Lev-Lev's bladder, so he wasn't blocked. Work let us out early so I picked him up mid-afternoon. Only a few hours ago did he start acting like his normal self, albeit still more mellow than usual.

Stubborn boy just doesn't want his pain meds; he sees that syringe and is all, "NO WAI, dad!" I've had to resort to pill pocket treats for his two other meds. They seem to be working as far as making him feel better in general, but he's still taking longer to go #1.

Btw, tibs...I trust my vet. She's been treating only cats for a long time and the way she talks reminds me of my Dad (retired General Surgeon & Practitioner). The fact that she's also been out to inspect Purina Farms (about 30 miles away) and scrutinize their research puts me at ease.

Lev-Lev & Zuzu are now on Royal Canin SO dry food; the clinic just gave me one of their just opened 17lb bags free of charge! But I want to order some of the SO cans, too.

Have a good rest of the weekend, snails!

So glad to hear Lev-Lev is home and on the mend. :)

Agree with everyone else about these new fangled cars!!!!:nah:

Was able to get in an evening walk. It's been awhile because of the humidity. Doing all my walking in the mornings.

Good evening and goodnight Snails. Sleep well, pleasant dreams and a better tomorrow for all :)

not everybody is a happy camper with rc :(

This product should have a LARGE skull and crossbones on it. I lost my cat to this horrible concoction they refer to as food. First of all cats are carnivores, they are NOT and should NOT be fed a cow's diet, meaning corn and corn gluten should NEVER be used in their food (especially when corn is one of the highest allergies in cats). My cat was mega healthy, he got a blockage that was corrected and the vet prescribed this nutrition-less nightmare to my cat and he was dead in a month. And just in case some "vet tech" comes on to tell me there's a number of reasons my cat could've been ill (where generally that could be correct), it isn't in this case.

I was a vet tech and I know (apparently) more than my present vet, because as a vet they should KNOW what they are prescribing. Apparently the profits outweigh the quality care. This food is WAY overpriced to boot. Purina urinary formula is almost the exact same formulation, so for those hell bent on killing your cat you can do it cheaper. Where my experience has been with their urinary formula, when you read other reviews it seems to be a common thread throughout that this brand is overpriced garbage. buy at your (and your animals) risk. A side note: I have 2 other cats who also started vomiting on this food. Once pulled off the vomiting has stopped.''
''Follow-up research of Royal Canin Urinary SO has found that severe, debilitating constipation, such as what affected our cat, is a common issue in both dogs and cats. Reading all the other consumer complaints, I find it irresponsible for any vet to recommend RC food. My vet has sent RC my complaint, my invoice and photos of the bag of food we still have (not using of course). The vet had been told by RC that there have not been any complaints to the company about this product. This was the first, and that my info has gone to their consumer relations department. To date I have not heard anything from RC directly. I would suggest everyone here who has had issue with RC contact them directly.''

do some of your own research, mad! the above quoted excerpts are not what i remembered and which made me google but are, basically, along the same lines :(
take care of that lev-lev!
