Dreary post-Eclipse'olyptic morning. Lucky to have been just inside the totality band path...man, what a trip. It got darker than I expected, but why people thought it'd be as dark as night irked me...do they not remember learning that light acts like a wave and particles?

Yeah, there's a lot of ambient scattered light yet. But I think the main point is that often times you can see STARS in the sky.

Nope, I think that has to do with being at the outskirts (North edge) of the totality band. The view of the horizon was almost as trippy as the shiny black disc with fiery corona in the sky. It was dark, yet it was almost like everything was covered in just barely luminescent glitter. There's no way a camera could capture the perception of my surroundings at the time.
