I think you'll find that requiring arbitration just to find out if you're impacted (so you could have a class action) is not at all legal. The comments section of that article is more interesting than the article itself. Needless to say, it probably won't hold up and class-action suits will go forward. Well, I went to their website and both mine and DH's information is possibly compromised. We got a date to enroll in their 1-year credit monitoring.
I agree with Schneiderman (and Atty)--it's just CYA legal BS--totally unenforceable if/when there is a class lawsuit.

That's very helpful. I think I'll be calling my CC providers and my bank--we already have a pin. Our info had been compromised before--somebody opened a bank account in Florida in DH's name and we got a letter from said bank that we owe them $7K. Took us 6 months of filling out forms, filing police reports, etc., before the issue was resolved.
