some good news. the small condo building my unit is in is still standing and wasn't flooded. someone on youtube posted a video that included my condo building and it looked untouched with some debris on the ground. I was in contact, thru facebook, with an owne that confirmed what my eyes saw. As of yesterday, there is still no electricity but more than half of those who lost electricity in Broward County have had it restored. i am hoping by monday to head back. What's more of a problem is making sure i can get gas and a place to stay.

With the power being out since sunday, I wonder how long meat will last in the freezer before it starts rotting? I know $200 worth of meat is gone... i'm more concerned with clean-up now.
