water restrictions have not been lifted according to the last update, yesterday at 1:45pm. I'm told I need to boil water in order to wash dishes. Really? I'll be eating out again today.
the sun is shining with a beautiful blue sky. we had rain on and off Friday and Saturday was awesome. the forecast calls for rain. IDK, but i'll take it... and u keep that stuff up there.

@Flowersoul I was told yesterday that "you can't put food in a new fridge for the first 8 hours after plugging it in". (It has to get cold first). Did you hear that too?

what's on the menu today? I'm going with a few people up to a place called Capone's Italian to eat, drink, and watch football.
it's not just a new fridge, but one where power was lost for days, like me.
after cleaning it out and restarting it, it was about 3-4 hours before I put groceries in it.
GF move update: She's moved out of the house, and the furniture has moved too. Today we're final-cleaning and dealing with yard stuff.
Two men and a truck (really 3 guys and a truck) moved her furniture and stuff (with a lot of boxes and totes that we didn't move) in about 4 ish hours, plus or minus.
Those guys must all hang out with Pepper. He probably knows them.
According to her, two of the three were the short-no-neck types (stocky as hell) and the third was a stocky and tall guy. Anyway, they just carry around heavy furniture, fireproof boxes and box-springs by themselves for light exercise. Probably saves on gym fees. And they get paid too.
The house is weird when it's all empty like that. Anyway, busy day today. Probably tomorrow and maybe a bit Tues too. IDK. We'll see how it goes. We would have made the original closing date of today had they not delayed a bit. But since they did, we have today to basically finish up. She'll make sure it's all in nice shape for them.

. gl, atty. I'm tired just thinking about getting my stuff together and loading the car to head back up north. I believe I am going to leave Wed... at least I have a hotel scheduled in Florence, sc for that date. we'll see.
Well, yeah. That, or boil water for the next two weeks (or whatever). Nuts to that. Didn't "the condo lady" say she'd refund you any days you didn't use it? So, why not go see the sites in SC, or maybe the Grand Canyon, or whatever. Don't blame you a bit.

refund only for days I missed due to the hurricane. not because i'm leaving voluntarily. I usually rent a place for 2 months, but rarely use all the days I paid for. I'm not losing much because there's not much of a difference between rental rates for 2 weeks and 1 month.
