G'mornin, snails...

Brrr! 2psi drop in tire pressures. Did I wear a jacket this morning? nope.

that's a new one, Mad.:D I never thought about checking my tire pressure to determine whether I should wear a jacket. But if it works for you, cool.:D

good morning, Mad.:)

... the help ...
:glare:

..........

A cool Wonderfully Windy Wednesday With Windows And Welcome-Ways Wide (well...) Open

..........

My annual stress-fest with regard to the home interior has set in. The ENTIRE inside needs
a refresh. Each and every wall and ceiling in each and every room. No demolition. No new
major fixtures or appliances. "Just" the walls and ceilings... and some floors. :( Seems
simple enough, huh?

But this Fall, I *WILL* start doing something about it. The bathroom. It's needed a new
UN-CARPETED floor for YEARS. (Hint: Never EVER carpet a bathroom.) I'll also have the
wallpaper stripped, walls prepped for painting, and painted. But... let's see how "creep"
comes in...

... the bathroom's closet and main doors should be replaced as well to "finish" the refresh.

But, that one new door facing the main hallway will stand out. It will not match the other
FOUR doors. So... replace those as well, right?

And as long as "the guys" are here, have them refresh the hallway. De-paper, wall prep,
painting. Walls and all door trim. (And probably new hallway lighting, no big deal.) I
wonder if that can be done with the in-place wall-to-wall hallway carpeting? Does it have
to come up and then put back after the wall work? Ugh.

However, where does the hallway actually end on the living room side? It's complicated to
explain, so I won't. Suffice it to say there is no clearcut delineating spot between hall and
living room. If the current paper comes down in the hall, then the one wall in the living
room with the same paper will need to be included in the project.

Then that ONE fresh wall will stand out in the living room... etc etc etc.

And there goes the previously-mentioned YTD17 "minus 22%" budget accomplishment.

@Katmar ... pass me a couple Klons.

Good morning snails.

Next update from USPS....the searches have "expired". Basically it's "Better luck next time" but of course, it already came, but there's no way to tell them that.

Thank you for using USPS.com.
We regret to inform you that after thoroughly searching for your mail we were unable to locate your missing item(s).

Search Request Details:
Request Date: 08/11/2017
Reference: Search ID #######
We work hard to provide prompt, accurate service to our customers, and regret that we were unable to deliver your mailpiece on this occasion. To help us get your packages to their destination in the future:

  • Put a return address on the outside of all mailpieces
  • Include a label with your name and complete address on the inside of packages
We never like to think of anything happening to the mail during transit, but we want to be prepared for any contingency and your assistance is vital to that preparedness.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced. We appreciate your business and hope you will give us the opportunity to serve you in the future.

Thank you for using the U.S. Postal Service®.
So that's done. For BOTH searches (because of website f-up).
Must be a government operation, eh?

Yep... just occurred to me that new doors also means new hardware. And
that one "living room" wall has a door. Now 7. And two doors are to closets.
The interiors SHOULD be done as well.

Hubs back pain has been getting rather bad again. He called the hospital to make an appointment for his next shot. It's usually at least a month's wait but they had a cancellation and his appointment is for next Tuesday.

    Good morning snails!

Hubby seems to be feeling better this morning but will continue his testing. His next test will be a catscan and our family is praying that the lesion shows a previous injury rather than anything more serious. He had contrast done yesterday. He has all the symptoms of walking pneumonia but yet his lungs were clear so the doctor is delving into it ilt into it more thoroughly. His lipid profile is almost perfect;his diabetes A1C is 5.9 so yeah the doctor and I are a bit baffled, so one test after another to determine why he is feeling not so well.

Another news this morning we had an Oasis Nano unit put into our A/C unit. Between Matthew last October and more recently Irma we knew this job had to be done. I has a lifetime warranty and if we were to move the warranty goes with us

Right now I'm feeling too pooped to pop and almost ready to take a nap outside here but not before I filll me belly.
