Flooring vendor #2 does not really get my approval for business. The
killer was he made fun of Flooring Vendor #1's company name, which
is kind of tacky. #1 is "Messner Flooring" (or "Messner Carpets", as
their website and URL still denote). "Flooring" is on the signage at
the showroom. Anyway...
Vendor #2 pronounced "Messner Flooring" as "Messin' Yer Flooring".
They were also high-pressure. They also did NOT allow samples to be
taken home. They did NOT allow me to take a copy of the rough
estimate.
Going back to #1 to return 2 of 3 samples and get a couple more.

No... I have to initiate the connection. There is NO WAY I'm just going
to let them poke around my PC without sitting here and watching. I
started the remote process without doing the time zone conversion.
Guess I'll just have to stay up past bedtime tonight... or whenever
this happens to take place.
No way I'd let them do that either...but staying up past bedtime to "watch & wait for the water to boil" is much too unreasonable. That's whack, yo. (I think that was a saying back in the day).
Bear babe, doesn't letting a remote connection let the remotee have complete control over your computer ? Therefore it doesn't matter if you sit and watch it or not, they're going to do whatever they want to your pc anyway ?

I disable remote connect.
Also, scammers try to scam you that way by calling and asking to remote connect.
Steve fell for a very legitimate sounding "We have discovered a problem" call - and let them into the front room computer.
