GF's townhouse complex (she's temp renting after selling her house) won't allow real Christmas trees. She's livid. She went out and purchased a fake tree. They're expensive. She's livid. Both me and her son told her to not waste her money on a fake-tree for one season, I even offered to loan her my small table-top version I used to use in an apartment way back when. No, not acceptable. She's livid. So the tree has been sitting in her car for a week, waiting for us to get mutual time to meet up and I can carry it in for her.

Going to have to do that today.

Did I say she's livid? Yes, yes I did.

I hope she did not get a "pre-lit" tree. If she's livid now, she'll be
even MORE livid when those lights start burning out, or a wire
breaks SOMEWHERE and it no longer illuminates... at all.

I think it IS pre-lit (and untested). Oh noes!

But, on the up side, it only has to work for ONE SEASON. (I anticipate).

So instead of paying 60-80 bucks for a real tree, she's paid like 200 or 300. And will probably rejoice in throwing the thing out (or most probably giving it to charity/good-will).

I'll be nice and NOT mention what you've said here to her. She just doesn't need that right now.
But once we set it up, and if something doesn't work, I'm heading for the hills!

his enclosure if i don't put him up he'll take off running once he sees nathan!
