a mixed bag when you check other sites :?: not gonna make up my mind till i look at it. and with my fridge closing properly again i got time to decide ;)
well, maybe not too long - when that door acted up i realized that thing must be 20 years old :?:

The black stainless is very pretty but fingerprints? Black shows everything.
i shall put it to the test, frannie! ;) but since i'm the only one hanging about the kitchen i'm not overly concerned :D

I have a Frigidaire. It's simple but effective. Luckily, my landlord owns it, so I'm not responsible for repairs. They replaced my last one a few years ago...It was 22 years old, and they decided to not repair it. Now, I wouldn't mind having the fanciest of Samsungs either...it looks like it has more freezer space than mine does :D

Mom replaced hers recently. Her electric bill went down significantly.
They tend to "make them to break" these days. OTOH, the energy savings can significantly help pay for the fridge long term. Electric-use reduction of (just for example) 25 bucks per month over say 15 years...$4500. Assuming your old fridge was a electricity-pig and your new one is less so.
