:: sigh ::

Much sooner than I expected, but...

I have a couple questions in to the person who rescued
this cat. He was abandoned (with his cat carrier) in an
inner city strip mall. He's being neutered today and the
person is looking for someone to adopt... or at the very
least, to foster.

I *need* to know if he is friendly with other cats (ie:
Ty-Grr) and if he has been content to stay indoors.

Waiting for reply.

Look how he stayed by the carrier, hoping his owner
would be coming back to get him.

IDK. I was talking about that other one OBG started with.

They have them with a few gears too. It's part of the equation, IMO.

The ones OBG showed usually don't have gears, but there are a few that make them with gears. They also seem awfully cumbersome.

How sad is that! Hope you take him and give him a forever home.

@Flowersoul , I am going to look at both a regular bike that can have stabilizing wheels put on the back and a 3 wheel adult trike, like OBG showed, only probably the recumbent kind, but I'm afraid they will be too expensive.

Right now, I'm using the recumbent bike at my gym.

DH really doesn't want me on my regular bike since I had some recurring balance problems in the past year! Had therapy for a few months, and balance did get a LOT better, but he still doesn't want me to take any chances.

I thought of putting stabilizing wheels on the back wheels and still may do that when September rolls around and the weather is cooler.
Looked into the 3 wheeler over a year ago and actually dismissed the idea cause of the limitations in gears. Also a bit difficult to maneuver unless you're on a bike trail and even then, you have to be careful of oncoming bikers.

I'm comfortable with the time spent at my gym, but I do like the outdoor biking trails we have, so that's my plan for now. (possible training wheels)

Yeah, I edited to add they have versions with muti-gears. I just think it's a factor worth considering.

Definitely, and that's why I'm looking at a regular bike, with gears, and adding the stabilizing wheels to it. I think it's the cheaper way to go, but also safe.

I'd go with either the recumbent, with lots of gears, or just add stabilizing (training) wheels on the back of your current one if it has gears...:)

I bought the GF a bike about a decade ago...was still in the 300-400 range. Of course, you can get them in all ranges.

Seats are a big issue too. Some have suspension. Roads these days...

Yep, that's my plan but will stick with my gym recumbent......the workout I get on that is phenomenal especially on the uphill! As I said, I will wait for the cooler weather to get the training wheels. We have several bikes in our garage and when family comes, they like to ride.
