@CES - yes, roscoe had a cruciate ligament injury and yes, the brace did not fix it. :( but - after surgery they were told that the ligament had withered substantially and was that way, in all likelihood, before the tear. keep in mind roscoe was a rescued hound that had a very hard life, no care and abuse on top! i think circumstances for your beastie are much different ;)

Good morning, Snails! :)

@CES sure hoping all goes well with your furbaby!

@FranC hopefully the chairs will dry quickly and you'll be back to relaxing!

@tiburonfirst your schedule is wacky right now, so you need that extra time for yourself at night.

Oh Lord, I've forgotten what else I wanted to say, and I'm in somewhat of a hurry to get some more nic cut and then an eye appointment, so don't want to cut myself too short on time.

My apologies!!

Good morning, Dale and CES.
Hoping for the best for your baby, @CES. In my case, the vet did the measurements for the brace. They have to be pretty concise. I would cut back on the walks until you are able to get that leg stabilized.....:)

thanks. I'm going to call the vet for follow up in just a few.

We apparently got a gust of wind strong enough to blow off a corner of our "easy up" canopy which means the wood is wet and our out back chairs.

Yikes. Glad it's fixed and hope things dry soon

thanks! the beasties might tell you that I'm mean sometimes, but she'll do so from the couch...so yes, i think you're right the circumstances are different. Glad the roscoe did well after the surgery.

Went and picked out my bike today. Will be ready on Wednesday, but may not be able to pick up until Thursday, cause I have mid day dr. appointment on Wednesday.. I'm excited. Bike was on sale and the guy there was really great about explaining things. Got me a comfy seat, too, @Flowersoul ....:). Now, I just have to find a vehicle large enough to haul it home...:w00t:
I went with a 26", 7 speed, and the good stabilizing wheels.

Hey Kat FT sells headlights and mounts :)
And those little bells too. :D

Katmar... in worst-case, you can always rent something to haul it home.

They make bike-racks for hitches too if you have a hitch on something. It's a hitch-bar, but with a vertical support with a bike-rack on it. So the bike ends up being across the back of the automobile.

There's many types/prices. Some/most swig out of the way somehow so you don't have to completely pull it off the hitch.
This is useful if you see yourself taking the bike somewhere frequently (camping, trial riding, etc).

Otherwise, just rent a trailer to get it home.

    I don't have a hitch, so can't rent a trailer. Marsha's dad's SUV might work..
