Looks like I'm getting some kind of reply to my comments made on the
pre-jury-summons questionnaire. The main point I made is that my
parents have been the victims of 4 crimes over the years... and
because of that, I may NOT be the best person to serve on a jury due
to "preconceived notion and opinion".
QUITE a few years ago, I made it all the way to the actual jury selection
phase. One of the attorneys asked, straight out, if any of us - OR
IMMEDIATE FAMILY - have ever been a victim of a crime. I raised my
hand. He pressed, I answered. And was then excused.
So... my MAIN POINT is: why waste the court's time, my time, and probably
taxpayer money to have that happen again? I think that's pretty damn
considerate of me, if I do say so myself.
(My secondary point is: Leave me alone and just let me stay home and work
in the yard.)
