Strange year for the leaves. I have always needed to put the bags of
leaves in the garage on Halloween night. As many as a dozen in the
past. Keeps the little demon spawn from breaking them open, you
know? This year: not ONE bag. Nothing.
I admit to doing some mulching... and the new mower is simply
excellent at it. (It will make this an outstanding year for leaf clean-
up.) But even if they were raked up, it would have been 3 or 4 bags,
tops.
Speaking of Halloween and demon spawn, 47 of of the little bollocks
this year, and they started early. One of these years, we will test the
"lights-out and nobody home" thing. Go out for dinner and linger at
the table.
I saw where there is a "change dot org" petition to change Halloween to
the last Saturday of October. Firetruck that crap. Schoolnights are the
best at keeping the swarm at low numbers.
Let's see... what else... Bella's lower jaw tumor is getting large.

She
cannot keep her tongue in her mouth... it is always poking out one side.
She can still eat and drink... and poop and pee. And she wanders the
house. It's the best we can hope for. If she can live with it, function,
and sustain herself, then we're happy.
