    Good morning,Atty:) Small OTC patch?
Yeah, I think. Mom stubbed her toes, but the pain isn't in the toe now, and it could be arthritis, or could be it's "jammed". Hard to tell. She has a Dr. Appt the 1st week of Dec, so I thought I'd combine trips if that's not waiting too long. It might heal up. I don't think it's serious, it just bothers her after a lot of walking. And she has some arthritis there (Dr. said before foot pain was probably arthritis). Now, I could take her in and have it x-rayed too, but that's $$$$$ and they probably won't do anything.

I HATE this "can't describe it, but it's in-between, so it's not clear what it is" kind of crap. If it was me, I could feel it in myself and make a decision. When it's someone else, particularly if they can't describe it well, I'm unsure what to do.

So I'm thinking that it's minor (she's not in screaming pain like if she shattered some of those small bones or anything) and I'm guessing that it's joint inflammation/arthritis flair up due to the toe stubs. She can't remember where/how it happened, but she says it did. Probably flared up a bit due to all the walking/standing yesterday because of travel and visiting for Thanksgiving.

Anyway, yeah, small OTC patch would be good, but IDK what to buy. What one is good?

    Good morning snails. :)

    Gotta get moving here.

Anyone have a good patch for Arthritis pain in foot? (Gracie, was it you saying something?)
Yes, Atty, Salonpas patches are good........I've been using those in conjunction with Bio-Freeze and pain is just about gone now.

Super Blue Stuff is also good and have used that frequently.....I have had a lot of sports injuries in the past and thus the reason for my stash.

    HERE is info!

    joint inflammation/arthritis
motrin will help curb the inflammation but it takes at least 2 of the regular pills (325mg) 3x/day. increased dosage should be short-term; about 10 days, i believe. heat helps so aim for a heatproducing patch

Yep, we already do that (Tylenol though) on occasion.

    ???? :?:

"Drugs that are anti-inflammatory. If you're on the hunt for an anti-inflammatory, Tylenol or acetaminophen is not the drug for you. Instead, look into ibuprofen, naproxen''

and besides being anti-inflammatory motrin is also an excellent pain-reliever ;)

IB's are contraindicated for whatever reason. Doc says use Tylenol. ;)
