PITA neighbor calls hubs Monday to have a pity party. Oh,he's in terrible pain from his hips down and the VA doesn't know what's wrong with him.Has to go back for more tests yada yada.Wife's car needs oil change. So today hubs calls him and tells him to have his wife drop her car off. Does he do that? Heck no,he drives over himself and sits in a chair out in the garage to continue pity party. They think something's wrong with his liver,he has to sell his camper cause he can't do all that driving anymore yada yada.Is all this going to keep him home? Heck no. He'll be back over cause it's Thursday.............
He needs to DRIVE over???

Oh, that's right... out in the sticks and all that.

They're promoting "Synamyn" again...

Notice they only mention "special diet". They do not mention the must-sign
waiver he will require frequent vet visits for... ummm... "unplugging".

I still want him.

(FB required, I think.)

ETA:
Why is she brushing him BACKWARDS???

I'm also not sure how you teach him that THIS BOWL (with yukky
"special diet") is for YOU and THAT BOWL (with tasty real cat food)
is forTY-GRR. I am unable to see feeding him in a separate room
for as long as he would be here. It would be very difficult 24/7/52.

:: sigh ::

I still do want him.

{{{hugs}}}

Can't blame you but ... :(
I chatted with the vet at Ty-Grr's appointment last Thursday about
Synamyn. She agreed (in her own way) that taking him would mean
a great deal of special care, and probably (not absolutely) a great
deal of $ in "maintenance".

Then I mentioned the two available 15 year-old brother cats looking
for some place to live out their last years. Cats that age will also
probably mean $ because that's what happens with old cats. Hubs
says we would just get to loving them and then they'd have to "go
away". And dealing with a pet who has lost a lifelong sibling.

See "Black Nose" and "Pink Nose" (upper left) here:
Adopt a Pet | Lollypop Farm

But they would be perfect for Ty-Grr. He's quite the senior, too.

My GF's son and his GF just got a kitten. From a litter (from his ex, no less).
Kittens are a dime a dozen. Rescue cats in decent health are too.

Get one that is in decent health. Or, bite the bullet, and adopt the ones that aren't, going in knowing full well that you did that because you specifically wanted to help the least-privileged ones that needed the most help because angel-bear.

What's the debate?

    That's why the two really old ones are "calling" to me, Atty.
