Why do you use a laptop? (Not trying to trigger buyer's remorse or anything, just asking)

I use a desktop ... the most important reason to me is the 28"
monitor. (May even do more spurring and go for a 32"... they
are dirt cheap now.) I don't need it for HUGE FONTS.
I just like the real estate. For the same reason I do not like
using the phone or tablet. And a laptop would need connecting
and un-connecting and concerns about battery life. PLUS (ooo!
another big reason!) I like walking away and not carrying the 'net
with me where ever I go.

Oh... and all those ohms and amps and volts and joules (near YOUR "joules")
reduces the possibility of conception.

Oh, sorry. I read "laptop" instead of "desktop".

I guess I normally just see "computer" when people talk about desktop systems. Brain fart.

Good evening Snails Nasty yucky weather here.

ibs, I had only one (1) marimo ball. I really do not remember that it
did anything much for keeping the tank in order. All it did, over time,
was get pretty nasty-looking.

It also had the VERY creepy habit of moving around the bottom of the
tank on its own accord. I never saw legs. So yeah... a "plant" that goes
from here to there is disconcerting.

i might still go ahead and get some marimos. very surprised though when i saw that review on amazon that i posted but, apparently, others had the same bad luck as atty found.

OK, they might take over the tank, they might not. High light, higher heat, higher organic load....

Hair algae is a "B". I'd get other plants first.

Spent part of the day with our neighbor, who is like a sister to us. We had our little Christmas. It was nice. Tomorrow I see my pulmonologist, who I love. It will mostly be to discus sleep issues, since lung issues are non existent right now.
