She's probably making something like a cheesecake or a cake that requires real even gentle heat.

Springform pan:

They put the whole pan in a water bath to moderate the heat. She's supposed to put an unbroken sheet of aluminum foil under/around it as a safeguard. ;) But some people don't. If water leaks into the pan, it can ruin the cake.
I was thinking a "spring form" which was "leaking in a water bath" to be
some kind of durable medical equipment. Like a "doughnut" or some such
cushion.

Sending "good afternoon" greetings to the gang here.

..........

Still getting the new desktop set up with necessary old files
and programs... which are now apparently "apps" in Win10.

Tried Libre Office as a free option to M$ Office and found it
does nasty things to existing files. Relented and bought M$
Office 365 (individual).

..........

Up since 04h30 when a cold decided to take effect. Nose has
been freely running since then, sneezing like mad. There are
absolutely worse things.

lol @ that bear! :D

btw atty, parchment over the bottom, foil up the sides and still leakage :grr:

Tibs, I wrap the entire springform pan in foil--one large piece of foil to cover the bottom and sides. Is that what you're doing? If so, you need a new pan.

Sorry about the ruined cheesecake.

MS has no real competition, unfortunately. Which is why they don't really try to improve their Office and charge what they want--everybody's using it because there no other good options on the market.

Just a slow, lazy day. Tomorrow, we have to drive a good distance for an appointment for Marsha. Should be a nice drive, though. Weather is supposed to be rainy, but 52. :)

Hope y'all had a decent day. Sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow for all :)

Night, Kat! Have a nice drive tomorrow!

Hi Katya....pretty bird! :)

I'm just getting over that nose running and sneezing incessantly......fortunately, only lasted 3 days with yesterday being the worst........today I'd never know I had a cold these last few days.
