Oh, that's good, isn't it?
Not anymore.Down to 2 now.
Well,not really. Activan and Morphine.
fingers crossedThe trick is to find the right dose
Yeah. The trick is to find the right dose that will keep him pain- and anxiety-free but not completely zonked out. Are you there yet?
No and I'm not sure that's possible at this point cause with no meds hubs is not real responsive.

That's where we hope the ativan works. It's called terminal agitation, where he can't seem to settle, yet doesn't really realize it, but still fusses. Did the nurse suggest giving him more ativan or liquid morphine when he gets restless?Good morning,KatAt this point I'm really trying to keep him in one place.
Said to double the Activan if needed and Morphine can be given by the hour if needed. One dose of that morphine kept hubs sleeping all night. Gave him an Activan and morphine this morning when he starting getting restless.Took about 45 minutes to settle him down. Was really worried he'd try to get up.That's where we hope the ativan works. Thank youFrannie, I'm sending you a PM with a link to an article that you may want to discuss with your nurse. I'm not sure I can post it here, hence the PM. But you may also Google psilocybin, .... and ketamine in palliative care. Alas, politics, as usual, gets in the way.
