That's the sucky thing! I used to have the cable modem on a UPS...but the stupid UPS fried. So now it's on an actual power strip/surge suppressor. Bummer.morning, atty!hold on to that power strip!
I need to get a new UPS. This last one that fried was a "CyberPower" one. My previous much-longer-lasting one was APC. So next one will be APC or better.
