Can't see me until Friday afternoon. Not considered and emergency. They do not want to cancel second surgery before he sees me on Friday. So, unless this clears up, I get to be blurry, dizzy, wobbly, headache and nauseous. YAHOO!!!
I'd call them till they couldn't stand to hear my voice anymore and gave me some satisfaction!....yep, that's what I've done in other situations, and I recommend it highly! It's more than a squeaky wheel, it's more like chalk on the board!!

Thanks for all the concern. I did call back and they got me in right away. And, apparently, the tech I spoke with first got a real reaming out! There are dry areas and they said it was like looking out a shattered windshield. Ordered special medicine. Said it will be fine and surgery for Monday is still on. 2 doctors were in the room and a tech and the doctors agreed on the treatment and no need to cancel surgery. Very special precautions will be taken on Monday for other eye. Could not get rid of all my astigmatism, so will probably still have to wear my glasses most of the time. :(Also, do artificial tears (gel kind) every 2 hours and that has helped. This is a result of the corneal scratch that was covering such a LARGE area, and parts just stayed dryer than others, hence the new med with is an ointment to keep things moist overnight. Thank you again for your care and suggestions. :)

Goodnight, Ladies...sleep well, sweet dreams and a better tomorrow for US!:)

and nobody saw this when they took out the contact lens?

    night, kat! :)
No, it looked good then because the lens kept the cornea moist. It became dry in spots that evening. :( Just a freaky thing all the way around. As they didn't see dry eye prior to surgery and the scratch definitely dried it out, but far more than they anticipated. Lesson learned and I was both student and teacher!!
