There has NEVER been cable service here since 1977. I can vouch
for that.
Did you check with the state to see if new broadband installation is an "essential service", Bear?

This is what you get for being do damn cheap all along, because according to them you two could have had "real" cable a long time ago.

Oh, and I suppose you can check with Tibs and the hot-spot phone internet. Or maybe ask Musk about how he's doing with his starlink satellite internet.

Please re-read.

There is NO cable infrastructure for PROPERTIES around. It's not just a matter of pole-to-house. It's
from the nearest main road, across dozens of poles, then to the house. We ALL have DSL and satellite.

I have your "too damn cheap" right v v v here v v v.

Oh, and let's not forget my foresight for COVID-19 and working from home.

Sheesh!!!

What WAS I thinking???

Not according to them! I'll bet they used to have cable TV there in the 70's.

Do you seriously have NO cable coax in the house or any jacks? (Not counting old-style antenna)

SERIOUSLY no!

Before hubs (BH for short) it was ONE television. ONE. Antenna.

Then, we had DISH installed.

I am NOT a television person and never have been.

Imagine!!!

most if not all hotspots do not have an ethernet port which is required by most business software :(

ask Musk about how he's doing with his starlink satellite internet.

i got high hopes ;)

Seriously. What did tech say he needed?
I

DON'T

KNOW

THE

SPEC.

He had to do 3 "speedtest dot net" things, and send the results to the tech group. We did
not get a passing grade.

Do not suggest satellite internet because:
DISH cannot provide satellite internet HERE because we are in a Frontier Communications
area and those two are in bed with each other. No cannibalizing.

That leaves:
DSL
Cable

Panera Bread!!!

Oooops, take-out only.

Local library!!!

Oooops, closed.

Driving around looking for an open wi-fi signal.

Possibility.

We cannot even tether to the nearest neighbor's modem because distance. And what would
THEY have??? DSL, that's what.

He should be able to use a wifi internet dongle.

Of course, the stores are closed. But...
that's not the point from what i understand - i always keep an eye on rvers on fb and lots of them work while traveling but those who'd like to work for large businesses/corporations are usually out of luck because those insist on a wired connection
