My PCP didn't accept a vaccine request right now, so I signed up with a local pharmacy to "get on the list". Probably vaccine shortage problems. State expanded criteria a bit as of today, so I hopped right on it.
Oy.

This is a logistical nightmare for the states. Got to be.

Dd in a bit more than her usual pain today. I asked her if her new pain med was not helping any. She hasn’t taken it yet. Is really hard to know she’s in pain, she hides it well. The new med carries an impressive list of possible serious side effects.

    Good morning Fran :)
    Sympathy for your daughter:(
Thanks, dale :) She’s got to be the bravest person I know. She’s been in pain for years now yet carries on with whatever she wishes to do without showing it.

Oh, Frannie... Poor girl. Why hasn't she taken her meds yet? Because of side effects? There are other ways to manage pain. Maybe you should look into it. There's a lot of exciting research happening in the field of pain management. Has she tried medical marijuana?

Have faith. More and more vaccines are being distributed. Get on every list you can get on--and check with them if they have any unused doses by the end of the day. They often do and don't want to chuck them.

The med is that hydroxychloroquine. I’m afraid she would not consider marijuana . At least not at this time. She has had a blood infection for years and a car load of docs can do nothing about it or even know why. At this time she’s just one step away from RA.

Hydroxy is pretty safe. Millions of people take it for malaria and for all kinds of autoimmune diseases. But of course you never know.

Unfortunately that isn’t her only ailment. She takes steroids to live and even has to carry an emergency bottles with syringe.

I understand. And I hope you understand that I'm trying to dispense medical advice... Just thinking out loud. She mustn't do anything without her doc's approval.
