OK, so it's 37 degrees outside, and the neighbor gal texts me that she's ready to put the battery back into her mower (I had removed it for her before, put my charger on it and it indicated bad battery).
Told her to go have it tested.
She talks to her boss at work, says that they'll get her a free battery (this one is 1 year-ish old) and I'm all "whatever". So she comes back with THE SAME BATTERY. I say, whelp, OK, groan.
I install it. Barely cranks. No joy. So I ask her, you know, the question anyone would ask "Did they test the battery?"
"Well" she says "he didn't test it but said 'it took a charge'". :/
So it could be the mower, but probably the battery isn't passing a load test (no amps) but it "charges" or something. IDK. But when I put my charger on it, the thing was 10% SO I'm pretty damn sure the battery froze over the winter.
So I tell her I'll take it BACK OFF AGAIN

and I do, and then I give her instructions like before, with added emphasis. I get that
batteries are too damn expensive these days (channeling NCC again) but after all, I can't wave a magic wand over it, at least and not get arrested
So I'm having her take it to a REAL PLACE and get a REAL TEST. If they say it's good, then it's her mower (doubt it, but who knows?) and otherwise she'll have to
buy a battery. IDK if warranty will work or not.
Then I have to go install it again.
The good news is that Tuesday should have a high near 80.
