morning, frannie, atty and mm! ;)

can't hurt to have this checked out thoroughly!
It’s way over her regular drs head. This could be a long road for Heather I hate to say. There is just one test that hasen’t come back yet because they had to send it out.

The test that hasen’t come back yet is for a parasite carried by birds and cats.

I’m not sure what it is but I gather the cat gets it from eating an infected bird.
but it's only in the cats' feces. not easy to catch and mostly happens when you clean the litter box without a shovel and don't wash your hands. it's much more common to catch it from undercooked lamb or pork. dangerous to pregnant women. and the symptoms are not what you described.
i sure hope heather will get the follow-up she needs :(

Yes, it’s a very unlikely cause. Her dr is out of ideas and really needs to refer her to the next dr that may be able to help. It’s not just the rash, she feels like crap.

i see an extra 10 pounds in your future  that poor knee! :D

While that was an uncalled for comment on your part, I understand.:glare:

The doctor agreed that he believes it is a lateral meniscus tear. Obviously, that can't be confirmed without an MRI. He gave me some exercises to do and scheduled an appt. for me in a month to go over my situation. And probably schedule an appt. for a MRI.

He is very pro-surgery with meniscus tears and I believe that's what he'll want to do if the MRI confirms a tear. I'm not convinced surgery is the way to go based on what I've watched and read from other orthopedic surgeons. I know i'm getting beyond the tips of my skis. I need to chill and let the situation play out. Regardless, I will get a second opinion before i go under the knife.

    Happy afternoon, almost everyone.:)

    Is if friday 5pm yet?:D
