Me too, OBG. We had a decent spot near the expressway ramp where we could stay in the car, view the fireworks, then high-tail it out of there ahead of the crowds. GF got to see her fireworks, so all is well.
I was surprised at the # of "personal shows" and fireworks people lit off. They must spend 100's and 100's on that stuff. It isn't exactly cheap. Several people sent "Chinese sky lanterns" into the air also (grrr. Flaming litter. Hope nobody's house burnt down.)
