If u people have been paying attention, and I am sure you have, it is well-known that tradition has it that Pepper and family have a Prime Rib Roast for Christmas Dinner and fried oysters for appetizer.
I've been afraid to check the prices. Welp, I did last night. I always buy the prime cut for the Prime Rib Roast and generally buy it from a New York butcher, but have also bought out of Chicago. Although, to be fair, the last 2 years I have gotten the roast from Costco and it has been amazingly good and half the price.

I generally pay around $300-$330 for a 9-10lb roast from Pat Lafrieda's--and that's with a 10% discount. This year if I want that roast from Pat's, it'll cost me :lol::lol: $505.00. I'll splurge at Christmas time, but not $505.

I'm making my way over to Costco soon to see what they're doing for price, but their prime cut beef hasn't been too bad when it came to filets and strips. I should be able to get away with a maximum price point of $250. But I'm still laughing at $505.

I don't have a membership at sam's. Plus, the beef at costco is the best. It can't be beat for the price. It's on par with NY butcher shops.
