It was nothing to get there, get in, and get back. Less than 1 1/2 hours. It was $25 a lb. for prime. Not too bad considering the cost of beef today. even with 3 shots they expect lots of breakthrough cases. i had my hopes set on novavax but that's moving forward only in the EU and emergency authorization from the WHO, i believe

What we're really after is reduced likelihood of dying/damage/long-covid even if we get a breakthrough case. And from what I've read, having the booster really helps against omicron, compared to just being "fully vaccinated" many months ago. So it's still a good idea.

As an appetizer, it will be fine for 3. I've never counted, but I would think around 8 with an average diameter of 4 inches. I fill a half-cup measuring cup to make them with 3 to 4 oysters in each fritter. It's one of those things I've been doing for so long, I don't think about what I am doing, I just do it.
I can't answer about the celery seed. That's all on you.
p.s. I will be making mine on Christmas day around 12 noon. I'll send pics of batter, pouring them into pan, and cooking them. I think u said you were having these the day aftger Christmas?

they won't get here till afternoon christmas day coming from his gf's parents (good-sized drive). we'll have my famous soup with a sandwich that evening and dedicate sunday to cooking!
