    Woke up warm and snuggly this morning and fell back asleep.

    ‘Guess we’re the hot spot at 34 ;) Hang tight Tibs a warm up is coming for you .
    Going to start raining this afternoon and the temperature will rise through the night into the 60’s with possible thunderstorms in the morning.

    Please keep in quiet in here. Pepper had kinda a rough night.:D morning,people.:)

    I was kicking ... in my poker tournament. I had 50,000 chips and was numero ono. Instead of playing it conservative, I got a little zealous.:facepalm: Or we could say, overly aggressive.:lol: Let's just say it didn't end well for the pepper. Typically, adult beverages don't hurt me playing poker, but they did last night. I can't say I would have won the top prize of 2 thousand dollars, but I probably left several hundred on the table... which would have been nice.

    p.s. If anyone is counting, 6 weeks from today I leave on my EPIC 2 month trip. It's going to be...well, Epic.:rolleyes:

    People, the lasagna is going to be awesome.

    I forgot to mention that I used a freshly ground mixture of beef, veal, and pork for the meat. I simmered the sauce down to about half of its original volume. What a beautiful taste.

    I had been planning on substituting short ribs for the ground meat but didn't have enough time to procure them. Funny thing, I was talking to my brother and he happened to have made a bolognese sauce with short ribs for a dinner party he was having last night.

    I'm not going to make fresh noodles for the lasagna. It sounds nice, but in reality it doesn't make any real difference.

    I'll post pics because I'm sure everyone wants to see it.:rolleyes:

    On a more somber note, I just got off the phone with my brother. He got the booster shot late yesterday afternoon. Apparently, he had a severe reaction to it--fortunately, after his dinner party. He was still in bed at 10am. He said he was sweating profusely, chills, ........, and ended up passing out some time last night. He said he was getting up to use the bathroom and woke up on the floor. He's feeling better but still not good. My 85 year old dad got the booster and nothing. IDK

    I'm not getting the booster until I absolutely have to... which will probably be when I leave the country to travel. I'm not in a high-risk group. If I were, like my dad, I would.

    Have a good one. I'm going to start putting the lasagna together.
