If I remember correctly all house need electric in one form or another. Having an all electric house is no worse than not having it. All lose lights, hot water and heat. No one gets spared.

I'm hoping with you Dale. :nun:
not exactly true - if you cook with gas you can keep cooking ;) and my neighbor tells me his gas fireplace will keep the first floor warm even without the blowers going

OKC, OK
Morning all. 3 to 4” of snow/sleet here so far, should be ending today. We need the water, hope it melts and soaks in, and doesn’t end up evaporating.

That Covid is sneaky, got me a couple weeks back, vaxed and boosted, mask everywhere. Still got me.

there's always one in the crowd. but true. my gas fireplace will heat a large portion of the house even without the blower. But, that's irrelevant for me because I have a whole-house generator.;)

    No you can't

True with a gas stove you can cook but keep that door closed on the oven don't try to heat your house with the oven door open very dangerous.

As far as gas fireplace go. yes and no...
Don't think most people know you can ignite it like when done with a gas water heater. I light a piece of paper on fire and put it by the pilot ignition press down on the button, could be a little challenging for the elderly and etc.

Bear, it's currently one of the worst times in history to buy a car, IMHO.
They don't have to deal with you or be nice at all. There's a complete shortage and HIGH demand. There's no reason for them to offer the EW unless they're making money via kickbacks, and that company rating YOU on how you treated/drove your current car is making extra $$$ margin that way. They don't have to be nice right now either.

    It's a seller's market for new cars.

    P.S.
You're "nuts" to buy one now UNLESS you have drastic need (no offense). Even used cars are hard to come buy. If you can put it off a year or so, I would. But I'm guessing/predicting the future here.

STILL no answer to my SIMPLE question.

What surprises me about your area is the number of EARTHQUAKES you get. IIRC.
