Well, it seems that Dd has been exposed. She was with Heather last night cause her kid skates too. I haven’t been in the same room as Dd since yesterday morning. Guess I’ll be wearing a mask for awhile.

but true. my gas fireplace will heat a large portion of the house even without the blower. But, that's irrelevant for me because I have a whole-house generator.

True with a gas stove you can cook but keep that door closed on the oven don't try to heat your house with the oven door open very dangerous.
As far as gas fireplace go. yes and no...
Don't think most people know you can ignite it like when done with a gas water heater. I light a piece of paper on fire and put it by the pilot ignition press down on the button, could be a little challenging for the elderly and etc.
