We're on a wildlife tour here. Sat. in the rain,we saw a baby raccoon beside the road. Poor thing looked like it was shivering.Hope mama was close by.Sunday a baby deer crossed the road in front of us. Monday we came around a corner to find a tons of geese in the middle of the road.Today a young deer crossed our path.
That is so nice, Fran...we have wild turkeys, deer (almost every day), raccoons, wretched armadillos and even on occasion, wild pigs.
No armadillos or wild pigs here. It was neat to see the baby bear a week or so ago.He crossed in front of us too.
i haven't seen much activity but in the summer the cats go out much earlier

A few months after we moved here, I was coming home from the store, and it had just gotten dark out.
I came across what I thought was a large dog sitting on its hind legs, and my thought was......oooh, whoever owns that dog is going to be fined for not having it on a leash.
Well, that dog turned out to be a baby bear sitting on its hind legs.
We thought it a good omen as we live on Black Bear Lane

We used to see a lot of pheasant here. Too built up now.
Occasional crane or swan. Lots of those dang geese.
And deer and the occasional turkey. Of course, the usual road-kill stuff like possum, squirrels, raccoon, skunk, turtles, etc.
Before they cleaned up the field next to me, had more deer and owls. Thankfully, no bear this far South, but north of here, sure.
